Akord is a protocol for storage and publishing of your most important files founded on the idea that we should all have total control of our own data instead of being at the mercy of the cloud or device they are stored on.

The brief for this project was to rebrand Akord to highlight its focus on the potential creations its community could develop using the tools it offers. The result is an identity in which there is a prominent use of a “Madlibs” like mechanic to bring to life the idea of an unfinished narrative without the community, as well as “split screen” imagery that shifts between possible futures. This is also present in the logo which continues this theme with its incomplete ‘A’.

In addition to being involved in all aspects of creating this brand, in a supporting role to a senior designer, I was responsible for developing the brand imagery concept. I was also tasked with animating all elements you see throughout this case study.
